Haven't done this one before even though it's in my backyard.  Signing up for it this year.  Actually gonna go for the whole thing with the Lord of the Flies.

Whose got the scoop on the Lord of the Flies "prize"?  There were rumors of a belt buckle floating around.  Any truth to it?

Not sure what the prize is, but I thought it was a honey and something else. I did the Lord of the Flies last years and it's fun but also a very tiring weekend. They changed it this year and added a 5k on Saturday afternoon after the international. Endurfun puts on a great race, and you will love the atmosphere. This race, is the race I saw the oldest triathlete I ever seen. He was 87 years old and did not quit.  After my race, I made it a point to go out front of the Ice Arena to cheer this gentleman in. He was total motivation for me seeing him. Have fun up there!

Oh Practice your hills! That 13 miles of climbing was rough

Have fun!

Scott

We signed up for Lord of the Flies also.  It's a great weekend....not sure what medal is, but a belt buckle would be awesome!  Haven't heard from the RD in a while...ahem, cough cough.

I did the TT and Oly last year and it was a lot of fun.  This year I signed up for the Lord of the Flies.  Should be fun.  I dont think the 5K is part of the lord of the flies though.

And yes, that hill is brutal.   It's not steep, but long.  It really can take it out of you.

I was taken back at the descend at the bottom turning right and seeing this monster hill where the camera was as well. Make sure you're in the right gears to climb this short beast.

You get a very cool head sweats finisher hat, a foam crown, towel, water bottle and more....
Lots of special stuff planned. It's my favorite weekend of the year!

The 5k isn't part of the lord of the flies

I work the mooseman every year so I know how Endorfun runs things and they do a great job.  Too bad IM took it over and bollocked it all up last year.  We're preparing for another cluster this year....

I live in the lakes region so I'm used to the hills.  That one is sneaky though if you've never biked the area.  In a car it looks pretty flat but on a bike it's a little more work than you're expecting.  Should be a good time.  I'm looking forward to it.
