Swim
Comments: Better swim than expected. Pacing was good as I was able to get out of the water and run through transition. Siting wasn't bad but the wind/current kept me having to readjust my direction every 30 seconds for the first 500 meters. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 1
Comments: All was good here. Bike
Comments: Pushed it a little hard in the beginning but HR was in a pretty good place so I kept it up. After the first 45 minutes the HR started coming down. Averaged 208w for the ride. Transition 2
Run
Comments: After the first two loops I knew I was in trouble. Felt the twinges in my quads. I drank water, EFS and took salt tabs during the bike and run and nutrition was pretty good so all I could figure was that I pushed too hard on the bike. What would you do differently?: Take it easier on the bike. Post race

Got up at 4:30, had a PB Bagel, 1/2 a mojo bar and some Ultragen. Stayed at Moody Gardens for the first time in 3 years and was super convenient. Wish I had stayed there in the past. Was at transition at 5:10 and set-up by 5:30. Stood around and talked with friends and then went for a short jog.
Ran for 15 minutes.
