Buttercup - our yellow lab. She's four and will run any time in any weather. Once I start getting dressed in my running clothes, she will sit next to the door quivering to go. We've done 1 mile all the way up to 14.

<oh blergh...can't get the picture to load...will try again later>

I used to have a 225 lb Great Dane.  He passed away last year.  RIP Maximus!  I tried to upload a pic, but they are too big.

Some great puppies here

Here's Hugo. He's Lab x Black&Tan coonhound. And yes, he really is that intense.

Well, if I had to wear a lilac-colored dog collar, I would, too.

This is Piper our Boxer/Lab shelter rescue that we've had for about 4 months.

Piper

This is Piper after the first time we did 6 miles together.

Piper Post Run

We are up to 8.5 miles (which involves about 37 potty stops). I'm pretty sure what I consider a run, she considers an accelerated/extended squirrel, bunny and deer hunt along the bike trail, but our purposes coincide well enough that we get along pretty good.

This is Penny! She has been doing my marathon training with me, and rarely misses a run. She has run in the rain, the snow, and even a little hail with me (sorry about that Penny!). The furthest I've allowed her to go is 17 miles - I am not sure if she could go further or not but I just worry about her going that far when she is so small! She is the best dog in the world.

This is Buddy after following me for about 3 miles of a half marathon.  Unfortunately during that event he was so excited to see the ocean that he jumped off a cliff (literally) about 35 feet to the sand and tore his ACL.  Hasn't been able to go on runs for more than a year but we are currently planning ACL reconstruction surgery so there is hope that he might be able to do a few shorts euns in the distant future...after proper recovery of course.

1stTimeTri - 2011-05-26 8:38 AM Hmmmmmm, not one cat.  Something's fishy here.

This is because as soon as you put a harness and leash on a cat, they turn into a big, fur covered blob of pudding and COMPLETELY lose the ability to use their legs.

That's why you take them for "drags".  *TEASING!*

<---------

he used to go up to 6 miles with me,, now with the heat and his age it's a daily 2.5 mile walk at least once sometimes twice. When people jog by us, he'll look up and I'll run for a bit just for old times sake

Ok so my pic did not post mm. OK here once again is my little smart Jack Russell girl Olive Apple.

Great Ocean swimmer and  good runner and chick magnet for 3.5 miles.

So it kind of looks like Olive is a little shy and pulled you into the spot light just as the shutter was released.

Viewing all your photos makes me want to have a K9 running partner but living in an apartment just doesn't allow for a comfortable living space.

However, I do have a couple of training partners that show up regularly.

Here are a couple of pics of my doggie boys at the beach.  And, yes, we run together.  A lot.
