Who has done this race before and what did you think of it?  I am unable to find any race reports on it and want a racer's look inside the race.  The family will be traveling to Columbus at the right time for vacation and I'm thinking about doing this race.  However, I would have to forfeit a day or two of scuba diving the Great Lakes for the race and it will take a good/great race to make that happen!  I would also have to ship my bike, which isn't a big issue, but after reading about the transitions on the race's web site it seems a little funky!  So I'm wanting get a few reviews on race or get connected with someone who has done it before.  Thanks for the help up front.

This is the first time for this race, so your not gonna find any race reports. The race is put on by HFP Racing, and they do a great job. I was a little turned off by the price. Hope this helped.

AZ Diver, as another post mentioned, this is a first year race. HFP has been putting on tris for 22 years so we have a little history. This race is a point to point race that starts with a swim outside of Columbus, rides into Columbus (right through the center of the suburbs and town) and ends with a run around the new downtown park development area. Here's the web link for more details - http://gianteaglemultisportfestival.com/getriathlon.html

Hope that helps.

I am doing the women's Tri for the Cure the day before...to be honest I was interested in the sprint but didn't want to do the point-to-point - I didn't want to deal with the logistics of getting there and getting home.  It looks like it will be a fun race though and goes right through my neighborhood (Clintonville)!

I'm doing the Women's Triathlon for the Cure as well. It will be my first triathlon ever, and I can't imagine a better event for a first timer. Nice short distance, staggered swim starts, lots of goodies, a supportive atmosphere, and a finisher's medal!

The BF and I are in for the Oly.  Going to try to park my car at the finish line the night before and drive his car to Alum creek.  I don't really want to wait on a bus in the morning :/
