I'm getting excited. This will be my first official Triathlon! I'm in the Springs and doubt I will stay over. That means I have to drive up for the meeting and then do it again for the morning start. I didn't really care to do a sprint, but now I'm looking forward just to go through the motions and get things worked out. Doing the Oly and the HIM too.

So I'm not a member of USAT, I bought the one day pass... do I just show up the day before for packet pick up with my receipt and fill out a form???

WTC logs if you paid for the pass with your registration- just show up with your photo ID and have fun!

Sweet.... getting a little skeered. I did an indoor with my group. 1:04... spent 6 min in the locker room on T1. That won't happen again. Hoping to do 55min.

Who else is doing it?

A few days ago I got the email with the link to the website, with my bib number. But, this year, there's no list of start times for each wave/age group.  Last year was my first year, and they had waves of approx. 150 people.  I've clicked almost every link on the website, but cannot find this info anywhere.

Does anyone know if WTC has opted for a mass start this year?

So the athlete check in.... Friday Saturday during posted hours.... and then we have to watch the "Athlete race briefing Video" OR attend the Athlete race briefing meeting right???

Just show up and watch the loop video, or go to the meeting if I have any questions???

Thanks for helping a newbie.

I read the schedule as you could watch the briefing video or go to the live briefing.  All the have on Friday is the video.  I don't remember them doing a video last year, and it made check-in a pain since everyone was there around the times of the briefings.

Cool. I'm in the Springs and will be going to Denver tomorrow. So instead of going to Boulder Saturday and again Sunday... I was hoping to go Friday when in Denver and get it done.

Picked up packet today with no problems. Got there @ 12:45 and I was done in less than 10min. I'm glad I had the luxury of going today. Hopefully a bunch of people showed up today, so that tomorrow can move along more smoothly than it did last year.

Last year I think the mess was due to the 2 "mandatory" info meetings and everyone getting there around those.

Well, one downside of getting registered on Friday is 48 hours with this wrist band on.

Have fun everyone.

They charge you a 9% handling & shipping fee for each pair of sunglasses, with a minimum of $9.90. The 9% is taken from the regular price. I'm not sure about the quality of the sunglasses, though. There's a pair on their site, on "sale" for $68. the regular price is $140. So they would charge $12.60 for S&H.

So it's not really a scam.....just read the fine print

They're not the best, but not horrible either.  Wish Zeal Optics still sponsored this series, amazing quality.  I think Zeal is only sponsoring Without Limits Tri's now and a few running races in Moab.

I went and had a great time!  I am also going to the peak, so getting excited for that too.

Thanks for the replies about the gift card.  I won't be using it.

I was there...and while the swim sucked big time for me the rest of the race was ok. I had a great time and can't believe the Peak is only 3 weeks away!

I had a great time, I did the same course last year at the boulder sunrise and managed to knock 7 minutes off to go under 1:25, very pleased, looking forward to the peak.
