Run
Comments: Run was around the airfield. Uneventful except for the wind that reallllly slowed you down on the way out. Suckage. Transition 1
Comments: Couldn't get clipped in!!! Grrr ... What would you do differently?: Clip in better. Bike
Comments: Strong headwind, rivaling last week's triathlon!!! I am so sick of the wind. I felt like I was in a tornado at times with the wind whipping the bike to and fro and then to again. Just kills the time, and the legs. Grr and rawr and such! Transition 2
Comments: Rack was right by bike-in so it wasn't that tough. Had to tie my shoes, though. If I had speed laces I woulda been faster. Run
Comments: Same -- headwind sucked!!! Toward the end some chica was trying to chick me and, since I'm a man, I couldn't let her pass me, of course. So I put her in her place by outrunning her to the finish. Because I'm a man, and we're superior!!! It's science. You can't argue with science. Post race
Warm down: Packed up and then went and looked at all the Top Gear test cars. Saw a bunch of Ferraris and Porsches and even an NSX. What limited your ability to perform faster: My short legs. Damn my half-japanesiosity!!! Last updated: 2011-05-31 12:00 AM

So this was my first duathlon and I decided to do the 10K before the duathlon started. That was ... wise. The event was at the airstrip where they film the show TOP GEAR so that was kinda cool.
Got up early, rode the bike to the train station, caught a train, caught a cab, ran a 10K, set up transition and waited around.
Jogged a little around the airfield.
