Hope everyone had a great race!  I won an award today for the first time ever (3rd Place Athena) - So, I am over the moon

I think that other than the mud in the parking lot that kept stealing my flip flop that this event went perfectly!  What did you guys think?

That was so much fun! That was the warmest water I have ever swam in that wasn't in the Caribbean!

Results for all you Type-A-ers:

http://itsracetime.com/Results.aspx?ID=225

I wonder if some skipped the race bc of the rain? looks like under 200 results, but I think more entered.I had a pretty good race. I was slower on the bike than what I would have liked, but did pretty well on the run and all together, first place AG!

Great job. We finished pretty close together! I was just a few minutes ahead of you. I made up my time on the bike....but I suck on the run.

Where are these pictures?  I want to see!

Congrats on 2nd - I am not a strong runner either ; it looks like 1st place was a darn good one though!

Did you see your finisher photo? If you click on the results link there's a little camera next to yoour name. Click on that and it takes you to your photo. From there you can see all of the finishers. The last picture was numbered 225 I believe.

2nd? I'm not an Athena. I'm a Clyde. I was just stating that our times were close. I finished at 1:43.

That was a fun race, I think they did a good job with everything.

Is anyone else a little mystified by their run time posted on the results webpage listed above?  I'm so confused, my garmin had me at a 8:10 pace basically the whole run.  I don't have it with me, but I think it said 8:08, 8:11 and 8:10 or something like that for the 3 miles when i checked after the race.  But the results have me at a 8:37 pace.  I don't know what total time the watch gave, I probably didn't stop it when I crossed the finish anyway - I'll check later.

Anyway, I'm just confused...I thought I was running at one pace - the pace I train at and expected to run - then it turns out I apparently was not doing so at all.  I hope my garmin hasn't been deceiving me all along!

Did you check the distance on your Garmin? I put the route into mapmyrun and it came up closer to 3.5 miles than 3.1. That could be it.
