Rode my bike to the start.
Swim
  • 22m 40s
  • 1500 meters
  • 01m 31s / 100 meters
Comments:

Did not go all out on this one. Actually started slow and wanted to cruise the whole way. Had a long day ahead of me and didn't want to burn myself up on this swim.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. Maybe swim a little harder, but it wasn't really worth it on this swim.
Transition 1
  • 01m 13s
Comments:

First succesful leap onto bike with shoes already strapped in.

Bike
  • 1h 18m 8s
  • 24.8 miles
  • 19.04 mile/hr
Comments:

I didn't try to hammer anything on this ride. I knew it would be hilly, and I knew that I still needed legs for the next 2 races. I should have gone a little harder, but in retrospect, my pace was fine. I wanted to have good race on Sunday, so my goal was to cruise thru this one.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Transition 2
  • 01m 5s
Comments:

Got out of my pedals and dismounted on the fly, overtaking a few people at the dismount line.
What would you do differently?:

Run
  • 52m 13s
  • 6.55 miles
  • 07m 58s  min/mile
Comments:

Goal was to shut down this run and cruise at M pace, and finish feeling good enough to race later in the day and tomorrow.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Post race
Warm down:

Ultragen, massage, a little food. Rode bike back up the hill with my gear.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I could have raced faster, but my goal was to cruise through this race feeling good.

Event comments:

Race # 2 done, felt like I could race later in the day. Went and ate a cheeseburger and took a nap.
