Not sure if I have the status to start an "official" thread, but here it isLaughing.

LITH tri is next Sunday, 6/12.  Last year, it was my first ever tri.  Completely overestimated my training and underestimated the race.  I feel much better prepared both mentally and physically this year and have a few races under my belt.  Really a well run race.

The lake is going to be open for open water swim practice starting tonight and every Wednesday, weather permitting.  Check out www.lith.org for conditions.  Last year, if you were registered for the tri, the first week was free.  $5 after that and they usually give out a punch card so if you swim 5X the 6th is free.

The race is put on by one of my good friends. I will be out there! I have either volunteered or participated in this race every year since it's inception.

D'oh! I think we were out of town last year, come to think of it... but I've been at an intersection directing traffic for 3 years! And another year I did the race. This year I'm doing the race.

Chris rode the scooter that directed the lead guys around a couple of years ago... But this year he's doing the race too.

I plan on racing, but I haven't registered yet.  Just looked at some race reports and it seems like everyone gets up around the time I go to sleep.  WTH is up with that?  Does it HAVE to start so early??????  Ugh...Rant...
