For all you big prespirers out there, what do you do on the bike?  I was out for a ride the other day which was rather hot, down in the bars, and midway through the ride sweat is just pouring down.  It gets all over my sunglasses and needless to say, screws up my visibility.  Not being able to see at 20mph is not fun.

I thought about adding a liner in my helmet but am concerned it will affect my cooling, especially on hot days.  WWBT do?

De Soto Skin Cooler Helmet Beanie or Headsweats bandana work for me. I shave my head so I need something to keep the sweat from trickling down.

I just bought a Halo headband.  It directs the sweat to the sides of your face instead of down the front.  I will try it out this weekend and see how it does.

On training rides, I often have a bandana in my bento box to use to clean my glasses.  Everything else I am wearing is soaked and synthetic so it doesn't work well to dry and clean lenses.

I use the Halo Head Band as well. Works fairly well, but I do keep a lense cleaning kit in my Bento box. On long rides I still need to clean my glasses a few times.

good timing on this post.  I just went for my first long ride on the bike this morning and had the exact issue.  My glasses got all kinds of sweat on them and it was hard to see.  At one point I even got salty sweat in my eyes, that was fun (not)

Halo headband here as well.  I don't use it in a race, I just deal with it.  But for training, its great.  Havn't tried anything else though, but its worked so for.

Halo headband for me.  I sweat getting my shoes clipped in, so I needed to do something.  This works great.  If it's hot and humid I get a little sweat on my glasses but it's a small fraction of the pre-Halo effect.  I also carry a small cloth to clear the glasses as required, but I often never need it.

I use a Halo headband too, and it has made a big difference to me. I wear it in training and races (though I'll typically remove it before the finish, since it does look kinda dorky in finish line photos). I'm not bald, but I'm certainly well on the way. The Halo definitely improves matters, but there are some conditions where it struggles. On runs it always does great, at least for the range of distances that I cover. Bike rides go longer, so they are a tougher test. On lower intensity indoor rides there's no problem. Longer interval sessions stretch it to the limit, and multi-hour bike rides outdoors in the heat often take it beyond its capacity. ... But that's still far better than the alternative, which is careening down a steep descent, unable to see where you're going because of the stinging eyes.

Desoto, Headsweats, Halo, all make good products. Here is another little tip to go along with those. Before your ride / run, take  shower, and wash your hair really well. One of the things that causes such an issue is the oils in your hair, being pushed down into your eyes and glasses as you sweat. I swear it makes a HUGE difference, when the sweat hits your eyes. ( Yes I shower before and after I run / or ride.) In this humid Alabama heat I may shower 3 -4 times a day.

Halo headband in the summer. Halo du-rag in the winter. Otherwise I cannot see out of my glasses somewhere near an hour into any ride.
