One of my best ever bike rides. Passed about 15 people. I NEVER pass people on the bike. Got passed a bit as well, of course, and maybe my slow swim helped me, but shouldn't have helped THAT much. Wasn't even pushing that hard. Just good use of what the course was giving, and none of the climbs (except in last 1/2 mile) even touched what I do southeast of Norman.

Not passed at all on the run, of course. Had a lot of people to pick off, but didn't really have to struggle to reach them. Didn't push as hard as I did at splash and dash, but did work harder after the turn, which felt good. Probably could shave about 30 seconds off of that at another race.

Really not sure why I was so much slower than the Tuesday night splash and dash. I know the course was a little longer, but I felt much better. Not as many breaks, had clear water, etc.
