Subject: Turd in the pool

What a way to start out the week.  400 meters into a 800 warm-up at 5:30am and we are kicked out of the pool.  Yep as the title states - turd in the pool. :-(

So driving away, it got me to wondering - How does that happen?  Maybe one of you out there in BT land has a "friend of a friend" this has happened to and can explain it to me.  For instance, do you they just get that special feeling and think "Wow, I'm too tired or lazy to get out of the pool so I'm just going to move my suit aside"?  I mean, otherwise wouldn't you they just end up with a padded suit?

Points to ponder this fine Monday morning.

In a pool full of adults, I have no idea how this could happen.  However, the lap pool at my Y is connected to the main/kids pool, so everytime a lazy/disrespectful parent doesn't put their toddler in a swim diaper and the kid craps in the pool, we have to get out.

OK, that is shocking.  I can see this at some time when kids are in the pool, but 5:30 AM?  What the H is wrong with the people you swim with?

Kids do the darndest things.  Especially when a parent doesn't make the kid go to the bathroom beforehand, or, if the kid is still young enough and hasn't been potty-trained, put a diaper on the kid.

Well being an openwater swimmer, I let them know I swim with all kinds of stuff so they let me have a look see.  Nope not a Baby Ruth and my detective skills also determined the person didn't have corn on the cob.  Mighty big for a small child so that yes indeed got me wondering who I was swimmin with!

Is it an outdoor pool? Bc If so at 5:30 am it could have been a raccoon overnight stopping by to poo and not a baby.

I have no Idea how this happens in a pool of adults.  Maybe they forgot they were keeping it in their speedo.  You know, they might have had a turd in there from last time and they were going to prank their buddy or something..

This did happen to us on a cruise ship.  Some kid in the pool had an accident, and like a fire drill they had us out of the pool, the pool drained and scrubbed, filled up and open for business again in about 40 minutes..

Have you not seen IM Florida Poop-Guy? If he had stopped, he most likely would NOT have qualified for Kona. As it stands now, he finished the run with his legs looking like he was wearing brown calf sleeves

It wasnt poop but a few weeks ago I was at my gym doing a swim workout and when I hopped in my lane I noticed  (2) beer bottle caps and a label from a Skyy Vodka bottle. The gym allows this company to transform the pool area of the gym into a fancy nightclub every saturday night (pool overlooks the harbor) and they never clean up after themselves. Also, they broke the pace clock so according to the clock it took me 21mins to swim 400yrds. Before I realized the clock was broke I had a 5 minute freak out session in the pool. Hopefully, I will never see poo in the pool but you never know.

How would that work its way out of an adult swimsuit? I wear jammers and I can't envision ever cutting one loose in the pool and it making a "great escape".

I am wondering were the lifeguards were at the time if this was a public place. I am trying to figure out who would do something like this. Guess somebody really had to go!! I could not even see myself peeing in a pool let alone pooping in one.

What the heck is a lifeguard?

Seriously, I don't recall the last time I was in a pool that had one.  Most of the training / gym pools are swim at your own risk.
