Subject: Another kind of riding
Just a question for sheer curiosity's sake...

Any triathletes out there who also ride motorcycles?

I'm new to motorcycles and am finding it a pretty fascinating culture. Triathlon is also another kind of culture. Just interesting to be in both worlds. Not really looking for riding partners at this time. Just curious.

I wouldn't necessarily call myself a triathlete (finished my first sprint a couple of weeks ago).  However, I do also ride a motorcycle - a 1999 BMW K1200LT.

@goerlich: She's a thing of beauty!

Just wondering what it takes to be a motorcycle volunteer at IMC or other tri. Probably lots of practice carrying a passenger (aka. race marshall). I'm usually a volunteer paddler. Might want to mix things up a bit by riding on the course instead. Any officials out there who have ridden on motorcycles during a race?
