Swim
  • 11m 57s
  • 750 meters
  • 01m 35s / 100 meters
Comments:

had a strong swim, caught in the middle of my wave and got kicked in the face once but overall a strong swim. havent had much practice, 1 OWS, and wasnt used to the choopy water and i swallowed a decent amount of salt water.
What would you do differently?:

try to get more OWS in before if possible
Transition 1
  • 02m 7s
Comments:

uneventful, fast as always
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Bike
  • 36m 34s
  • 11 miles
  • 18.05 mile/hr
Comments:

legs felt oddly tired, i guess its from the swim. overall disappointed i was slow even though i had solid training.
What would you do differently?:

train more on the bike and rest my biking legs better
Transition 2
  • 01m 10s
Comments:

had to use a little vaseline since flats are still being broken in, almost done breaking in. otherwise fast and uneventful
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Run
  • 20m 41s
  • 5 kms
  • 04m 08s  min/km
Comments:

as usual felt slow yet had another PR in the run! i guess i have to be used to the feeling and still getting these really fast times. had a small cramp at the end but gave it my all for a great finish!
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Post race
Warm down:

walked around

What limited your ability to perform faster:

bike legs a bit tired, small cramp due to gas

Event comments:

a great race with a nice easy course to start the season. only complaint really is that sharp turn getting out of transition and only 1 water station to have on the run, whats with the lack of water in eventpowerli races!? overall im happy with how the race turned out despite being cold.
