I felt alright. I really thought I swam faster than that. I guess technically I did since that time counts running up the ramp out of the water and out the door to the timing pad. I'd like to know what my time was for the actual 500.

Someone swam over me on the first length. I didn't know I needed to practice my open water swimming defenses. ;) Also had a guy in front of me that was just slow enough that I kept tapping his feet but just fast enough that if I tried to pass him he would speed up.

This is the most frustrating part of triathlon for me right now. Stretched a lot for two days prior and then stretched a bunch this morning in hopes of alleviating calf tightness and cramps. Didn't work. Still had to stop twice to stretch so I could finish. Finished dead last in my AG in this event ... the only one to take over 29 minutes to run. Sump'ns gotta give.
