Participant list has been posted.

http://ironmanmonttremblant.com/athletes/participant-list/

The numbers by my, totally unofficial count:

2550 total participants
33 countries represented
1427 from Canada
903 from US
102 from Mexico
The UK and Germany only other countries with more than 10.

41 US States represented
110 from NY
77 from CA
75 from MA
64 from TX

Nothing all that surprising. But it's fun to look at.

davinius - 2011-07-17 8:56 PM Can anyone recommend a good book on sports psychology for the endurance athlete?

The Canadian Triathlon magazine recommended 'Sports Psychology for Dummies' in its latest issue - said it's a silly title but written by experts and broken into useful sections ...

Someone posted this over on ST and I thought I'd share it here too.  It's a set of pictures of the IMMT course with some commentary as it goes along.

I second that, awesome. Will have to remember to look around come race day, and ride/run hills until then.

yeah, those photos were great.  Looks like a beautiful area.  I'd like to say I'm getting excited, but it's sure a long time until race day.

Half ironman, in Canada, in June. Isn't there still ice on the lakes up there in June? I'm guessing it's going to be a cold swim. Think I'm going back to Kansas for my half.

Fred Doucette - 2011-09-19 1:44 PM So does anyone have any idea what the chances are that we really get new pavement on the bike route like the sure says? Ie; likely to happen or pie in the sky?

It's already happening.  From a post on ST from someone that works for Sportstats (the timing company for the race)

"I was there a few days ago and the Duplessis Rd has been completely repaved. Mte Ryan is under construction as well as the 117.
Looks like 100% of the pavement will be done by November 1st."
