Nice job Q.  Looks like the challenge is really working for you.  I am suprised with 7 days of CF though.  I thought they did like a 2 on 1 off type program.  Or is it 4 on?  Anyways, I know it is not suppose to be every day.

I had a horrible week actually.  I could go into why but it's nothing but excuses.  Hoping to be back on track again starting today.  I'm still doing my workouts though.  I do feel like my crap diet has affected my workouts but I'm still getting them done.

ANOTHER age group win for me!!  I've been feeling so awesome these past couple weeks!!  I'm sure my better nutrition choices are what is fueling my wins lately.

Way to go Q!! Congrats on your success!!

Things are going well for me.  Lots of fruits and veggies.  I now buy ice cream that I do not like so less temtation for me and the kids are still happy......

Here's to a successful week for everyone!

I had a kind of tough week, but I'm back on track now. My clothes are feeling looser & I'm so happy to be going in the right direction again.

I had a scary interaction with some pedestrians on my bike ride to the pool yesterday morning. They were obviously drunk or drugged, and were saying some pretty terrible things to me. And this was at approximately 4:40am! (this was near a casino) Worse was that I was on a slight incline - you know I just kept going & made it safe & sound, but it really shook me & made me re-think a few things (like my route, being a single woman on a bike, etc). Wondering if anyone here carries mace when riding solo?

Wishing everyone a safe, happy & healthy weekend. My plan is to not use the car AT ALL this weekend! Run & bike ride from home & the swim? Well, I'll be leaving home at a more reasonable time for that.

Had a fairly decnet nutrition week, kept the calories in the right place regarding carb, protein and fat ratios. I have one more "bigger" training day scheduled for tomorrow then it's into race taper. I've found getting lots of produce has really helped keep my cravings down and having a "treat" on bigger training days gets the calories up to a healthier range without blowing it.

Had a terrible week last week, only got two workouts in. We had a bit of a heat wave here in RI, 90+ and humid every day topping out at around 101 last Thurs.  Anyway, enough with the excuses, all I know is it's around 73 and cloudy and I feel great today.

Hope everyone has a great week!

I've gotten smacked around by life a little recently, so haven't been keeping up with things very well. Not an excuse, just one of those things that happens.

I read 4-Hour Body during some much needed downtime over the weekend, and think that the slow carb ideas fit well with how I've been eating for a while now--the biggest changes are more beans, no more brown rice tortilla wraps, and adding one cheat day. I started following the food guidelines for that yesterday. Now I just need to dig out the link to the Google doc from my inbox and figure out what to do about the tracking.

I'm still around here, but haven't been incredibly successful on the eating part of my plan. I'm getting my walks in consistently, but workouts are very sporadic. I know I need to just keep moving forward and every day is a new chance to make better decisions.....

And I really appreciate that you all share your struggles and successes here - it helps me remember to pay attention!

I too have had a WHOLE lot of explosion happen to me in the past couple weeks.

My mom told me she has some "growths" on her lungs and thyroid last week.  My partner has been away for two weeks which leaves me in control of a house, a dog, and two cats all while working three jobs...

And for the past three days, I've been bed-ridden with a migraine the size of Texas.  I finally got out of bed today at 130pm and took a shower, shaved, and brushed my teeth...three things I hadn't been able to do in 72 hours. I slept a total of about 60 hours from the time the migraine took hold on Tuesday.  I think I've lost about 3 pounds from not eating in almost 3 days.

With that being said...I went four for four last weekend, before the hell started.  I won my age group and came in fifth overall at the Twilight Triathlon here in Florida.  So that's four races, four wins.  Very happy.  Now of course, I'm set all the way back and can hardly even walk, nevermind run.

SO...back to the drawing board for me.  Start fresh tomorrow.

Sounds like a heck of a week Q, congrats on your 4th AG win!

Just checking in as it's the start of a new week. Last week was ok workout wise and sub-par food wise for me. I still managed to lose 1 pound, I'll take it but reaching my goal by the end of August is looking pretty unlikely. Still, if I'm really on for the next few weeks I still have a chance, if this week doesn't go well then there is no way.

So have a great week everyone and good luck on those goals!

Just got back from an AWESOME vacation!!  My sibs are so health conscious - easy to stay on track when visiting them.  Now let's hope I can keep it up on my own

Just a little cheer to everyone to stay strong & eat healthy these last two weeks! This challenge has been really good for me and I'm so glad Q created it! I lost some weight, and am headed in the right direction. I'm also eating WAY less processed food and feeling so much better prepared on my workouts. Thanks to everyone - let's take this challenge home!

I know that I haven't been around much, but I cut out all processed foods and focused on whole foods.  So far I've lost 25 pounds and am feeling great.

Thanks for having started this challenge and making me focus on developing good eating habits.
