Comments:

Enjoyable bike course. Extremely fast coming back to transition. Had to keep power in check at times. Hope IMFL is this fast.
What would you do differently?:

Hold back on the bike a bit. No need for me to do 21mph when I need everything I can to run. I think the run suffered a little because I left most of it on the bike.
Transition 2
  • 06m 25s
Comments:

Was chasing down a buddy of mine who was several minutes ahead leaving the bike start (8 minutes). Saw that I caught him coming into T2 and took my sweet time. Even stood in line for the portapotty for 2 minutes cuz I knew Id catch up to him.
What would you do differently?:

Speed up.
Run

Comments:

Must speed up, save some on bike
What would you do differently?:

Go faster
Post race
Warm down:

Saw the family on the way down finish chute. Stopped to give hugs and say thanks. Then off to get drink and food. Lots of peopled down at the finish.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Running slug

Event comments:

First massage after a race of this length. Had active release on several areas. Thought I would scream at how much pain the masseuse was causing. But the next day I had 0 pain and actually could have done recovery run. Will do again in the future.
