Hoping for more rain. The more water, the better. A strong current would also be a plus, just like the Harrisburg Tri back in 2009.

So how did everyone do? I think I did okay for my first attempt I did it in 1:35:07. I really need to work on my swim and in hindsight I probably could have pushed harder on my run but I thought I did okay and I had a fun which is most important. Hope you all had a good time see next tri.

Nice job!

Did okay for me, which is all I can ask.

So, are you addicted yet? You're already talking about working on the swim and pushing harder on the run...sounds like you are on the slippery slope!

Already slid down the slope. I was addicted after my first Team Tri at Messiah College in May. I signed up for the catfish after I signed up for the Pinchot tri at the end of August. I would say I am addicted.

Howdy all.  Mel, it was nice meeting you.  I hope everyone else had a great race.  My mother and her husband both work for Harrisburg Magazine and they were there with a camera.  here is a link to all their photos.

Had a good race. I finish in 1:09 not to bad, training now for 70.3 Pocono Mountain need to work on my run leg. I was 2nd out of water 4th after the bike and got caught by a couple on the run. Good race overall besides the traffic that got lined up on front st on my way back to transition on the bike. Had to navigate through some cars.

I had a good race (for me) and enjoyed being in/at/by the river.  It was nice meeting you, too, Chris.  The BT shirt made it easy to pick you out, although I admit it took me a while to work up the nerve to introduce myself to a complete stranger that I met on the internet!  It seemed a little stalker-ish or creepy, LOL!!  I'm just glad your wife was very undertanding about some strange woman introducing herself to you Tongue out

Did anyone think the run may have been measured a bit short?  I had a fast run time (for me), faster than normal.

The run was definitely short.  If you are looking for 3.1 miles, its more like 2.8.  My only gripe is the splits are mis-marked.  It says I was 60th out of the water and I don't think thats the case at all.  So I quickly added up the first couple times, and I am somewhere around 20th or so.

The timing company is trying to catch up to what others do (by providing rankings, etc).  It's usually easier to just put in a spreadsheet and go from there.  Not sure if you hung around for awards, but they printed them out without labeling them, so  Erin had no clue what was what.

2.8 seems to be the consensus for the run.  Bike was about 14 miles.  Great race though!

The Duathlon first run times are included into the swim split. That is why the numbers are so off.

You had a very good race.

I almost hit the cop car head on, at Division street. Definitely did not expect him there. No big deal. Work more on your bike for longer events. It will definitely yield a better return, than spending more time on the run. What are you riding for your bike & wheels.

Yea the bike was not exactly what I was expecting but still very fast course. I was surprised to see so many people struggling on the little hump out of the parking lot at fort hood. All and all it seemed to be a good race even with the distances being a little off. Is anyone doing the keystone tri at pinchot in August?

NIce job out there everybody.  Run was definately short.

Too bad that mhebe guy showed up or I would have won the thing.    I guess I need to learn how to swim better.

Love the local southern PA races.

Am I reading this right...two BT'ers were 1st and 2nd?  Great job guys.  This was my first race last year and I enjoyed the heck out of shaving 21ish minutes off my time Laughing I was shooting for 15 minutes...

Both.  Added a wetsuit, I got a new road bike last July (did the first one on a hybrid), and I swam and ran all winter.  I should have been on the bike trainer more and my split proves it!

Yea I am considering a wetsuit my 130lb 5'11" body seems to lack buoyancy which does not help my already poor swimming ability. I hope to get a tri bike but right now the funds are not there so my road bike will have to do.
