Subject: South Mountain question
I've never done a ride to the towers unless it was Silent Sunday. I was thinking about going tomorrow, since I'm off work. Due to the heat, I'd be starting around 5AM. What's the traffic like on a Friday morning at 5AM? I'm assuming there are very few people driving around the area at that hour, but I thought I'd check with some of you, since many of you ride there quite often. I'm guessing I'd start my ride at 5AM, be done around 7:30AM. But if there are a lot of cars going up to the towers, I'd rather ride elsewhere. Those roads are so narrow!

Thoughts? Suggestions?

You'll be fine, there aren't many cars that drive up to the towers at that hour.

Kim and I have done this ride a couple of times at that exact time of day. Like Kevin said, there really isn't much (if any) traffic. You'll be fine. Have fun (if that's possible doing all that climbing :P)

You'll be fine...little to no traffic at that hour on a week day.  BTW - one of the park rangers told me that they see more accidents on Silent Sunday than any other day of the month!  He said it's because there's a larger volume of people out overall....bikes, skateboards, etc.
