Swim
Comments: need work on spotting!!! What would you do differently?: Skip wetsuit and improve spotting. Transition 1
Comments: arrived at bike but on wrong side of rack. wetsuit not a problem, socks and shoes went on fine. Bike
Comments: blew tire 40 min before race. changed it but did not have pump to get pressure to where I wanted it. What would you do differently?: went to LBS and got new spare tubes and floor pump. Need to prep bike better for next race. Transition 2
Comments: smooth rack and change out of shoes into running shoes. paused to get a drink of water. What would you do differently?: run was a 2 lap loop, water at beginning, should have just gotten out of T2 and got water at station 100m away. Run
Comments: Happy about running out of T2. Pace was good but could not keep it up for some reason. It was that pace or walk. ERRRRGGHHHH What would you do differently?: HTFU! Run the whole thing. Post race
Warm down: Had some water, and cookies. Packed stuff and went home. What limited your ability to perform faster: Body was still a little sore from group exercise classes a few days before. Bike was not race ready. Need to clean it up and get tire pressure worked out. Demo wetsuit worked good but felt constrictive during swim. Spotting needs improvement. Race is an evening event, starting at 1830 hrs. Aproximately 80 people showed up. Low profile event. Beautiful weather for event, warm, calm and lower humidity.
