4th Annual Firecracker 4 - Run4 Mile

Comments: Good run. A little slower than last year, but I'm not in nearly as good running shape right now so it's about what I expected. mile 1: 7:56 (flat, and a little caught up in the excitement of the start...) mile 2: 9:04 (this had the big hill) mile 3: 8:32 (some up and downs) mile 4: 8:17 (mostly flat, a little sprint at the finish) What would you do differently?: run more.  Post race
Warm down: annual all you can eat pancake breakfast, followed by sitting in a lawn chair for three hours watching the local parade! What limited your ability to perform faster: I did fine. Event comments: good enough. Just a local little race. Would have been nice to maybe have someone announcing names as we finished or at least do something, it was just sort of over... showed up and registered, I was a little late and it took a little more time to get my kids signed up for their one mile run than I'd planned, so no time for chit chat or warmups.
no warm up. Well, I did jog the 100 yards or so from the registration desk to the start line.
