Subject: Tri Shop coming to Plano

I just read on another message board that there will be a new, Aggie-owned, Triathlon store opening in Plano this Fall.  The store, appropriately called Tri Shop, will be at 6101 Windhaven Parkway (Windhaven at Dallas North Tollway).

If you want to stay up to date on the store, their website is www.trishop.com and they have a facebook page as well.

And no, I don't know these folks nor am I related to the store in any way.  I just saw the thread about it and thought I would pass it along to our North Texas BT peeps.  I'm always willing to support our sport, and an Aggie-owned company!

So...they'll do things backwards, the building will fall over, everyone will dress like a milkman, and sheep will be mighty scared of the store?

Hey guys, thanks for the mention about the shop. We are super excited for everyone to come see what we have planned. We are athletes just like you guys (although quite a bit slower), and are now first-time business owners in a market we love. We are located on the Dallas North Tollway at Windhaven and the Tollway - you may have done hill repeats down the street in Austin Ranch. It's a Plano address, but we are right on the border of The Colony and Frisco.

Our build-out is in progress, we have 4805 square feet of space, we'll have bikes, running shoes, swim stuff - the works. We will also have a bike shop and a testing and training center, complete with an Endless Pool, CompuTrainers, an ice bath, and more. We'll have coaching and testing services in house, group training, and we'll organize and support all manner of community rides and events.

We are hiring! Pass the word, especially if you know a good bike mechanic that can lead/manage our bike shop. It's a full-time gig!

I was able to get over there in between all of Saturday's activities. Couldn't stay too long and didn't have a chance to browse all I wanted to. Great shop, great staff, great selection. Should do well, especially since there are no real competitors.
