Comments: I started out in the lead and held it for a mile or so. Then I got passed by a young guy and what I thought was another young guy(turned out he was 38.) I figured the first young guy would fade late but he only picked it up at the end. I held on for third. I had a bad week leading up to this race. Had some breathing issues, so I didn't expect to win, however, I wanted better than 18:48. It was very hot and humid, even at 7am, but I'm still a bit disappointed. I will come back in tow weeks and try to improve. I felt comfortable with my first mile, feeling as if I hadn't started out too fast, but I must have because I slowed the whole way in. I thought I may throw up with about half a mile to go, but i held it in. What would you do differently?: Not eat so much before. Post race

Eat toast and jelly, drink 2 cups of coffee. I probably ate and drank too much. Note for next 5k in two weeks. Don't eat.
Run a mile or so with a few strides.
