Felt really good going out. Might have worked a little too hard in the beginning though. Felt like I lost my steam in the last 5-6 miles.

Ran at whatever pace felt comfortable. Didn't really push it at all most of the time. I picked it up a little at the end when what ended up being the lead girl ran by me. I was going to just let her go, but as she passed I said "Go take it, you've got it." To which she responded, "Come with me, you've been halping me so far." So I ran in most of the last part with her. About 50-100 yards out she started to inch in front of me. I just said "Go get it," and she pulled away.

Warm down:

Got fluids, walked around, then stretched.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Eating little the day before and only getting 2 1/2 hours of sleep. Also I really didn't go into the race with the intent of racing anybody or winning anything. It was more or less a training day to me.
