Who's in!? and What's your bib number so we know who cheer for!

bib 228 here!

Also, for those that have done this race before, I've been watching the weather and its looking like it may be in the mid to upper 80s.  So my question is, is the course very shaded?  Mostly the run, as it could be quite warm then.

#938 - did it last year too.  The run has a lot of shaded areas, but once you get up the bluff, it is wide open, full-on sun (mile 10 and beyond).  When I have looked at the weather up there - the highest I have seen is 81.  It's supposed to be pretty hot down in the Madison area though.

I agree with Wendy that after mile 10 on the run it was completely open.

Last year it rained the entire time so we didn't to worry so much about the sun.

I believe that we are bib 890.  Looked at the water temps this AM and they are in the 75-76 range.  Looks like it could be a little toasty for the bike and run though.

Hi all!  Menglo and I are heading out to DC tonight!  We're staying at Julie's in Fish Creek, so if you see a couple walking around with a German Shepard-looking dog (see our profile pics!), feel free to say hi!  I'm looking forward to cheering for everybody!  Good luck!

HEY!  Were you the couple out there with the cute shepherd or husky (or something) mix?  I know on race morning she was wearing a shirt.

How did everyone fare? We were staying at peninsula park for the weekend, and Sunday started out brutally hot and humid.

(wasn't there to race, but that was my intention when I made the reservations).

Yes, that was us!  You should have come to say hi!  She only wore it for the morning because it got WAYYYY to hot.  She took it off herself at some point, so I just let her be.  She was so tired this morning that we could barely wake her up to go outside before we left for work!

How did the day go for you?

Funny thing is I did come to say hi...to your dog   I didn't realize it was you.
