Comments:

This was my first race in about a year - I did ok, but I've lost a LOT of speed.
What would you do differently?:

Run faster!!
Transition 1
  • 00m
Comments:

Had plenty of room in the transition area since there were only about 6 bikes left when I got there! haha
What would you do differently?:

Arrive sooner
Bike

  • 10 miles
  • 13.33 mile/hr
Comments:

Had MAJOR trouble with my gears. My bike did not want to change gears going up hill.
What would you do differently?:

Get a tune up before the race. More hill training.
Transition 2
  • 00m
Comments:

Made up some time on the bike, so there were a few more people in transition when I arrived. Nice to have company.
Run
  • 22m
  • 1.86 miles
  • 11m 50s  min/mile
Comments:

How is it possible that I run this slow? Thankfully there were 2 other turtles there with me and we all finished together.
What would you do differently?:

More speed work.
Post race
Warm down:

Had a banana and a gatorade - went to the post-race awards. My kid won an applebees gift certificate for volunteering!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Extra weight and lack of speed work

Event comments:

This is a very small race. Well organized and lots of prizes/door prizes. AND a T shirt that can actually be worn outside the house! :-)
