I'd suggest Village Bikes or Ryder Bikes in Sarasota.

Call around and get quotes. I got a mid-range fit for 80 bucks, as opposed to $150+ by 4 other area shops.

Karibu:  the Ironman store in New Tampa as well as Outspokin in Clearwater, both do RETUL Fittings.  There's a well known FIST fitter in Lakeland (Hector Torres of the Central Florida Tri Club: http://www.cfltriclub.com/centralfloridatriclub.com/Tri_Bike_Fit.html )

I am not sure if the TREK store in Tampa and Clw have the equipment. but you can call them, however, the previous list are proven fitters.

Good luck!

I tried one of these "bargain fitters" once and he wanted to position me on a roadbike position even tho I was on my tri-bike.  Wasted $90 and 2 hrs (including travel).

My reccomendation: Stick to Retul or FIST and make sure you tell the fitter what your interests are and agree on what you want to achieve upfront.  My experience did not end very well.  I won't mention the name but it's on a Physical Therapy center in Dale Mabry.

I've heard of a couple of people who were happy with the fitting done by Ryder Bikes. I'll probably end up there when I'm ready.

You can go the St Pete bikes and fitness and get a GURU fit.  I got one for my TT position and am very satisfied.

Not sure if you've already gotten your fit. But I really like Rick at Trek of St. Pete.

Go see Park @ Outspokin in Clearwater.  They use Retul and he was one of the people originally trained by Retul to do it.

I got my fitting at Chainwheel drive in Clearwater.  They took their time, made some minor adjustments a few months after my original fitting and I've been very pleased.  Great bunch of folks in there but they are pretty good haul away from my house to get bike work done.

That said, I've been taking my bike for Tune Ups to ABC Bikes on Central Ave in St. Pete for last 9 mos or so because they are much closer and the service is outstanding.  All the folks in there seem knowledgeable and recognize I'm not a pro but treat me well.  I recommend visiting shops in convenient to you, discuss what you hope to accomplish and decide where you feel most comfortable establishing LBS relationship.

Good luck.

Paul does a good job.  That's where I got my fit.
