Hey, I actually got in 4.6 miles of running this morning. First real training since last week.

What is anyone else up to?

Enjoy the day!

Got an hour in on the bike this morning and hopefully a mile in the pool this afternoon.  I have to make up for an unscheduled rest day yesterday.

Hey all!!!

2:12/37.75 miles on the bike this morning.

Taking my doggies on a hike through some desert mountains and later I just *might* go in to my classroom for the first time all summer.  But, I'm thinking I'll sit down until THAT feeling passes!

Good luck all those preparing for Saturday/Sunday races!

It certainly is a fabulous friday!  I rode 31.6 miles in 1:56hr today, for a pace of >16.3mph, by far my fastest pace, even with red lights, headwind, and ~6-8 miles of mega-shoddy road.  Woohoo!

20 minutes on the trainer, on my POS MTB. Really just needed a rest day to let the jelly bites heal/bruise/crust over.

8 mile run this morning at 5:15am.  Can someone please explain to me why it was already 87 degrees and about 90% humidity before the sun came up?  I honestly thought I might be dying.  The 1200 in the pool after the run was fabulous.

1 hr 15 min ride with a young guy(24 yr old) trying to get in to triathlon.  Was a slow ride with a lot of B.S. and question and answer time.  Kind of nice when a complete newbie looks to me as a source of knowledge.  Poor kid is in for a short career.

No run this morning.  Hitting the pool tonight to expound on last night lessons.  Getting closer to stringing together laps.

Same weather here, except it was a mere 79 degrees and the humidity was 95%. I run in the morning to avoid this type of heat and humidity, who invited it to the party?

2nd day of doing absolutely nothing, racing tomorrow in near 100 degrees. Thank goodness it's a sprint. Glad to knock off work by 3:30pm (rarer than a UFO sighting), got the kids from camp, and picked up my race packet.

Biked to the gym for a spin class, then biked to work.  I think it was 85 when I left at 05:30.

The ride home from work was interesting, temp of 101, heat index 115.  Is this what Kona is like?

3 miles under 9 min./mile and getting speedier every time.  Consistency and negative splits are good.  Oh, and then after every run since we've had this heat wave I would dip in my pool - makes a great recovery.

Got my new bibs the other day and had to give them a test ride tonight.  Got the Desoto 400 mile bibs, and it was like flying on marshmallow fluff...  Oh yeah also got in a swim this morning.
