Pick up race packet. Meet my family who was running too, and hang out with them.

Comments:

I had a better run than expected. This was actually a 5K PR for me! The distance was accurate, because my Garmin read the distance as exactly 3.1 miles.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. I went out hard, and tried to hang on. I don't think I could have run a better race today.

Walk around, drink water, and eat some orange slices.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Fitness.

The race started about 5 minutes late to allow some racers in line for the port-o-potties time to finish.
