Who's racing next month?  I couldn't do it last year because of a nasty crash the week before.  But I'm in again this year.  How was it last year?

I'm thinking about it. Haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I'm doing it even though I said I would never do it again after the '09 race.  It wasn't very well organized and the oly bike course was actually dangerous in a couple of spots with uncontrolled intersection traffic.

Clear Lake is also a really disgusting body of water.

I'm about to be in.  I procrastinate so I'll probably wait until 5 minutes before the price bump.

In. Last year's sprint was my 1st tri. This year CL will be my first oly.

GMAN this year the Oly bike course is just 2 loops of the sprint course, which was fairly well-controlled last year.

I saw that and that's the main reason I'm giving it a second chance.  I literally almost got killed two years ago and it obviously left a bad impression.

You gonna die son.  Tongue out

This is my one year anny of doing tris as well.  Was going to pass but figured I do it for sentimental value.

I'm in.  I've only done one Olympic distance before and it was a long time ago, so it'll be interesting to see how it goes.

Sorry I missed when u posted. . . I would have had a smart reply. Anyway, 9-10 hrs/week on a HIM plan is about to kill me anyway. If I get through next week's training, I will survive the CL Oly.

C u there.

If it's as hot as it was at Bridgeland last week we may all die.

Was looking at the course maps today and found something curious.  The run map says Sprint 1x, Oly 3x.  If the sprint is a 5k and the Oly a 10k the math doesn't work.

The email sent out a week or so ago said there was a change to both runs cause of a homeowners association conflict or something: Sprint = 1 loop 2.1 mi, Oly = 3 loop 10k

Looks like registration is closed, I wanted to get in.  If any Sprinters drop out let me know.  I don't know where I am at on the alt. list.

I did the sprint distance today.  My Garmin had a difficult time getting a clear satellite signal after the swim, so my distance on the bike leg was off...  The results said that I averaged 17.7, but I felt like I was averaging at least 20 mph!  Was the course longer than 12.4 miles or was my average really that much slower than I thought?

It was closer to 15. I did the oly and the ride was 28.5 miles.
