Ted, I would've done the same thing with my daughter.  It looks like it was a great time.  My running club went as a "clan" of YPOM(Your Pace or Mine) warriors with black and red plaid sashes and body paint.  Most of them stayed together and just had a blast.  We did have a couple that went out on their own (one of them took 2nd in her age group).  It is definitely a MUST-DO for next year!!

Just saw this on facebook.  I also heard from TrishM that a friend of hers busted her ankle.  My running club had over 30 members who did this race with no major injuries.  Glad you all survived! I'm sure you all signed your life away on a liability waiver though.

Love the pictures by the way!!  Looks like registration is open for next year.  Are you all doing it again?

This is a must do IMO and my family is in for next year.  I feel horrible about all of the injuries I have heard about.  We spent some time before and after our wave hanging out under the big tree by the first aid tent.  I have to admit, I was shocked at how many people came through there.  To me, there has to be some common sense.  Folks have to know what they are getting in to.  My daughter was in no way prepared for this (unlike your daughter Dan, #### she killed it).  I Jedi mind tricked her to let me run with her so I could watch out for her and I an so glad I did.  There was nothing all that challenging, but I could see where she might get in to trouble.  I got lucky that I was there for her:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/7474357@N04/6003524589/  It would have killed me to know she got hurt and I wasn't there to protect her.

My wife volunteered on Sunday with Team Ben and she shocked me a proclamation last night.  She said that she wants to do it next year!

My wife, the dainty, demure, lovely and talented one.  She has never run a race in her entire life and yet she wants to do the Warrior Dash!  Awesome.

I think she liked the idea of tagging along with TJ and her dad.

I did see a woman flat on her back in front of the rope wall.  seems she'd been halfway up and came down flat on her back.  I was wondering if she'd been paralyzed.

I don't know what would posses someone to dive into a pool of mud head first.  I feel bad for the guy, tho.

My wife has a bunch of pictures of the 10:30, 11 & 11:30 wave as they ran past the parking area, between the rails. She also has some of the 10, 10:30 & 11 wave climbing the wall, 4th from the end.   Any bib numbers I can look though it.

I had a couple women in the pink and black in my group, stayed close thoughout the course.

Joe

Thanks for offering!  I need to see if I can find my husband's bib #.  The only picture of him I have has it covered in mud.  I'm bib # 41916 (black tank, pink skirt) & my friend is bib # 41378 (bright orange shirt).  I had fun and would do it again.  Man the picture prices are $$$ to buy the "official" ones.

ETA: Hubby's # was 41917.

Wait, were you in Saturday's or Sunday's race?  We were in Saturday.  A friend of mine was in a group of gals wearing pink & black on Sunday morning.  I think there were 4 of them.
