Pre-race routine:

I went to Movin' Shoes after work and bought new shoes. It was quite the process. I ran in 5 or 6 different pairs of shoes. I had a clif bar on the way to the race site and I hung around and stretched
Event warmup:

Swam out and back a little bit just to get used to the water. It was really warm. I think 81

Comments:

I did not have a panic attack. I was feeling good. I was drafting the girl in front of me. I started to wheeze though, so I would have to stop and cough up phlegm. I was starting to over-heat also. I would cough and breastroke and then swim for awhile. I was okay through the 1st half.
What would you do differently?:

??? maybe use my inhaler when there is a chance of blue-green algae? The beach was closed until yesterday.
Transition 2
  • 02m 2s
Comments:

Everything went well, I just wanted to take my time to try to get my breathing back under control. I was still coughing bad at this point. I also decided to run in my new shoes so I tried to dry off a little.
What would you do differently?:

nothing.

Comments:

This was okay. I knew it would be hard to push it for many reasons. First off - the asthma attack I was having.
2nd - I ran last night
3rd - my leg has been bothering me
4th - while buying new shoes, she pointed out all of my problems so I was really just trying to concentrate on form.
What would you do differently?:

not have wheezing
Post race
Warm down:

got my stuff and left - I was discouraged

What limited your ability to perform faster:

asthma attack

Event comments:

Hope this gets better before IMOO or I am screwed.
