Swim
  • 11m 1s
  • 500 yards
  • 02m 12s / 100 yards
Comments:

very crowded swim. first half never really felt that I could get fully into my stroke.

did try to draft a bit, but it makes me nervous!
What would you do differently?:

not sure, maybe move out to the side a bit
Transition 1
  • 00m 53s
Comments:

always have a hard time getting clipped in, not sure if it's because of nerves or what!
What would you do differently?:

nothing

Comments:

good bike. i was cruising!
Transition 2
  • 00m 51s
Comments:

not sure what slowed me down. i thought my foot was cramping a bit when putting into shoe so that took a few seconds to deal with
What would you do differently?:

make sure laces are loose and put quick glide on shoes before race
Run
  • 22m 45s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 07m 20s  min/mile
Comments:

no water at first station only gatorade.

started to get a bit gassy about 1/2 way and slowed down a bit

leg didn't hurt as much as i thought it did but i was worried about it
What would you do differently?:

need to work on mental toughness. again, probably could have pushed more in the middle of the run but slowed down!
Post race
Warm down:

stretching

What limited your ability to perform faster:

my hamstring that i wasn't supposed to be running on!

Event comments:

no finisher medals at the end. they gave them out before the awards but only to those who did not get an award. i like getting the medals.some volunteer confusion for the IronAbe event that cost some people some time.

post race water was hose water and not cold. water on run course was not cold either.

good food at the end and awards were on time. good race, as always, will be back next year.

Nice work Meghan!!!  Glad you held back on the run so you can save it for the Full Rev.  But really 7:20s on the run is "slowing down"?!  I wish I could slow down and be that fast.  Nice pace on the bike as well!

Congrats on your victory!!  Great job!

Guess you took a big chunk of stone home.

Yeah. A 30lb (at least) hunk! Now I have two of them sitting on the floor aside my desk. I know one of these days I'm going to break a toe on them!
