Subject: RE: Cervelo 2009 P2C Ultegra - $1000 Save yourself from wasting big $. The P2Sl is an awesome bike - better/more aero/more adjustable than many many of the all carbon bikes. I have a 56 P2Sl and thought I needed to upgrade (biking is my strength and I thought I needed to capitalize on it more) I bought a Cervelo P4 and decked it out with Zipp Vuma Quad crank, Zipp Vuka bars, zero gravity brake, sram red, etc. In a nutshell, I spent a fortune and I dont think I am one second faster. If there is a difference, it is so minimal that I dont notice it. If I had to do it over again, I would never spend the money to switch. One of my training friends also has the P2Sl and after watching me spend the cash with little-no-bang-for-the buck, he will never sell his P2Sl. Save your cash, or spend a little of it on a disc wheel. A used Renn disc wheel for $400 will make much more of a difference than switching bikes. Go to Cervelo and read what they say about it. They call the P2 SL (Super Light) their most adjustable bike. FYI Because the frame is aluminum, you can have it painted for hardly any $ if you are simply looking for a change in look. For anyone looking at buying a tribike - you can't go wrong with this. Edited by Booshay 2011-08-04 2:15 PM
