Subject: Cervelo 2009 P2C Ultegra - $1000

I have a Cervelo P2 triathlon bike, with ultegra gears, It is a size 58 , It has stock Shimano wheels. It has very little wear or scratches. I have not made any changes to it. I bought it new from a shop in Columbus and it has been well taken care of. I simply want to get a full carbon fiber bike. Nothing wrong with it and you are welcome to come ride it. Just send me an email. I live in the Columbus ohio area

Isn't the 2009 P2C a full carbon bike?

Ah, just looked at the picture.  I think that's a Cervelo Dual.  And it's earlier than 2009.  I could be wrong.

Yeah that's either the dual or p2-sl and it's probably more like a 2007.

In the picture provided it is the P2-SL. You can see that the seatpost does have a small cutout that the wheel is tucked into. Most likely a 2007ish model aluminum frame, carbon fork.

Save yourself from wasting big $.  The P2Sl is an awesome bike - better/more aero/more adjustable than many many of the all carbon bikes.  I have a 56  P2Sl and thought I needed to upgrade (biking is my strength and I thought I needed to capitalize on it more)  I bought a Cervelo P4 and decked it out with Zipp Vuma Quad crank, Zipp Vuka bars, zero gravity brake, sram red, etc.     In a nutshell, I spent a fortune and I dont think I am one second faster.  If there is a difference, it is so minimal that I dont notice it.  If I had to do it over again, I would never spend the money to switch.  One of my training friends also has the P2Sl and after watching me spend the cash with little-no-bang-for-the buck, he will never sell his P2Sl.  Save your cash, or spend a little of it on a disc wheel.  A used Renn disc wheel for $400 will make much more of a difference than switching bikes.

Go to Cervelo and read what they say about it.  They call the P2 SL (Super Light) their most adjustable bike.  FYI Because the frame is aluminum, you can have it painted for hardly any $ if you are simply looking for a change in look.

For anyone looking at buying a tribike - you can't go wrong with this.

Thank you Booshay, I was going to get the Kestrel that bikes direct has for 4500 ? I bought my wife the kestrel talon and she loves it and i love it, it is so light, I thought that would make a difference?? Maybe not huh? I will look into the wheels?
