Subject: Probably a dumb question re: disc wheel covers

Don't want to spend a fortune on race wheels yet, but thought that I might try a disc cover.

Does there have to be a particular type of wheel to attach to?   Any recommendations?

Thanks!

The vast majority of wheels will work.  One popular wheel that doesn't work is the Shimano R500, because of clearance issues.  There should be at least a 5mm gap between your hub and cassette.  If your wheel isn't already listed in the Wheelbuilder drop down menu, measure the height of your rim and send it to the company.  They will cut to your specs.

Many wheels will work.  Check out wheelbuilder's website.  When ordering your cover, they have a dropdown where you select your wheel type.  Pick one of the wheels in that list.

Wheelbuilder.com

E-mail 'em or call. Very helpful customer support.  Many wheels will "work" but some are apparently better than others.
