Sunny
Total Time = 1h 17m 52s
Overall Rank = 58/211
Age Group = superhero
Age Group Rank = 1/3
Pre-race routine:

up @ 5am, oatmeal with banana, a little coffee. Car was packed the night before
Event warmup:

Met up with my fellow superheroes and had a blast!
Swim
  • 13m 9s
  • 750 meters
  • 01m 45s / 100 meters
Comments:

Swim start was tough. I couldn't see anything in front of me because of the sun and fogginess of goggles. I was tickling many feet along the way. AFter the first bouy, it was clear sailing.
What would you do differently?:

I don't think I could do anything different except if I was rude and insisted on being in the front. It's not that important.
Transition 1
  • 01m 33s
Comments:

I forgot how long it takes to put on socks. That's next year's goal--different cycling and running shoes to help with that.
What would you do differently?:

see above.
Bike
  • 39m 14s
  • 12.43 miles
  • 19.01 mile/hr
Comments:

I think I could have done more on the bike but with the Warrior Dash the day before, I wanted to make sure I had something left for the run. I did notice a nice time imporvement over last year (generally speaking, but is it new bike or engine related?)
Transition 2
  • 00m 56s
Comments:

Ack. need to practice. Haven't done it yet this year.
Run
  • 22m 59s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 07m 23s  min/mile
Comments:

My legs were feeling it on the way back. They were burning from the day before... I'd do it the same way again, though!
Post race
Warm down:

Waited for all the superheroes and made lots of new friends through BT and in general being a caped superhero. I'll do my best to get pics up.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The day before--warrior dash

Event comments:

HFP is solid in its events. Nothing extravagant, but everything you need for a good time. This will be an annual event for me.
