I am still waiting to hear from the bike marshall captain...I am fearing something is screwed up. No matter, I am showing up at my spot and directing traffic!

Contact [email protected] and you might get in touch with the Director John Eisle, otherwise, I have sent you a PM.

I am a bike marshal and got a nice informative email from Craig Heywood this past Tues.

Also, I'm inching closer to my decision to register for 2012 on Monday -- can anyone provide some good intelligence on how the volunteer registration process works?  Schedule states registration for 2012 lasts from 9-11 AM for both volunteers and the open public.  As a volunteer, do I stand a chance to get in and out of registration by 10 AM?

Oh and finally, GOOD LUCK to all you rock stars racing on Sunday.  Looks to be a great day!

Thanks Tracy.  Yeah I screwed up the registration.  Rita confirmed and explained what happened.

There will be two lines - one of which is a line for the volunteers.  The volunteers' line will be allowed in first.  Make sure to wear your volunteer t-shirt that morning!

Regarding time to when you'll get through, it depends on where you are in the volunteers' line.

I'll be helping out with Registration on Mon. morning.

Good luck.

I just got moved around in my shifts. I guess the "mandatory" meeting that all captains said was ok to miss is mandatory for bodymarkers. That said I am in the male change tent in T1 and finish line from 9-12.

Yeah, that surprised me as well. I wasn't planning on leaving MKE until noon. Meh, 6:30am works too. ;-) I'll get to hit the farmers market.

Hopefully your slot fills. I was surprised to see only ~20 names on the body marking email.

Thanks, gofishtlp!

Since I still haven't heard anything, I'll plan on parking at the Terrace, showing up early, and asking my captain.

It will be a fun afternoon!

Arrive early on Sunday!

Turns out there is a 9/11 event at the capital that morning (Sunday) at 7:30AM, I think the paper said. Early morning anyway. So parking could be harder than usual if you aren't one to take advantage of free parking at the bank.

ETA: There is supposed to be a flyover also!

What shift are you?  I didn't see you there today at training.  I have the 8-11:45 shift.
