Comments: very hilly and tough course. road was very wet and it rained during the ride. almost wiped out coming down ramp back into trans area. i was turning left and braking at the same time and my back wheel hydroplaned but i recovered just in time. Transition 2
Comments: had to change bike socks, they got very wet during ride. Run
Comments: my knee was hurting by the time i got to the park. i would run about half mile or so then i had to walk for about 30 seconds. kept that routine for most of the race but was able to finish running when i saw my family cheering me on. Post race

I woke up at 3 a.m. and was out of the house by 3:30 a.m., I ate some yogurt and had a banana in the car along with some coffee. It was raining the entire drive into the city. My bike was already at the transition area (had to check it in the day before)so all i had to carry was my two (full) bags of gear.
one mile walk to swim start
