Swim
Comments: It was a double lap swim and a small field so there was lots of room in the ocean :) I saw my husband running past for his second loop just as we were getting our 10 sec countdown and felt bad for him with all the women running past him all excited to start the swim! The only contact I had for the whole swim was my husband running into me at the first buoy. We both stopped and cracked up when we saw it was us! What would you do differently?: Nothing. It was a pretty good swim considering I hadn't done any ocean swimming for 11 months. Transition 1
Comments: I'm always slower in T1. I really need to speed myself up. Bike
Comments: The course was flat, 4 laps and had beautiful ocean views. I kept a pretty consistent pace. One of these days I'll get faster. Transition 2
Comments: Faster then T1. Run
Comments: I told myself I would just walk through the 3 aid stations and I did :) They had the aid stations packed pretty tightly together so I had to drink and dump my cup quickly to get back running. I kep a pretty good pace and worked on keeping that pace rather then running fast. What would you do differently?: Nothing, ran like I planned. Post race
Warm down: My husband, niece, friend and I all podiumed (it was a small race) so we just stood around waiting for awards. Fun stuff :0 Last updated: 2011-05-31 12:00 AM

Got up at 5:00 and had my normal toast, peanut butter and banana. Was planning on haveing a small CarboPro/Heed and gel before the swim but I forgot to bring it to the race.
There were 15 min between the mens and womens waves so I went out after the men left to warm up. The water was cold but not as bad as I was expecting. About 65 I think.
