For those of you who were patiently waiting I figured you'd like seeing this

http://www.dcrainmaker.com/

It's looking like $1,500 on look style pedals.  This is a pretty big bummer for those hoping for an under $1000 non-hub based power option!

wonder if you can just buy 1 pedal for $750?

guess they're going for all those people that already have race wheels, and don't want to invest in a wheel.

Course- you do get a free set of Look pedals for that $1500.

Not LOOK pedals, LOOK style pedals made by Exustar.  Not sure of the pedal quality, but I am waiting to venture into power until March.  I am definitely buying these.

I recall reading that Garmin was going to partner with Speedplay but decided to forego the hassle of relying on another manufacturer. I believe that the LOOK-style pedals will carry the Garmin brand.

I'll give a plug for DC Rainmaker here, if you check out his blog he has an excellent write up on this.  According to the Garmin folks, they want to be able to service the entire pedal, not JUST the power sensors.  This created a problem when trying to deal with Speedplay.  This makes sense from a buisness standpoint.

However, this technology will EASILY be ported from one pedal type to the next as all you have to do is fit the spindle to the pedal.
