Poor run. Mental focus was just not there. Fell into trap of walking with people around me. I felt ok most of the time and actually caught and passed people all of the time which is hard to believe.

HTFU
Post race
Warm down:

Tried to get out of the rain. Didn't realize how cold I was until after. brrr

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Swim and general fitness. It's my first year of tri. Only my second tri ever. I have one more oly before IMAZ and I feel pretty good. The races get easier and faster every time. Keep doing the work!!

Event comments:

Only complaints I have are: Traffic, I had 2 really close calls on the course. Some of the drivers seemed really PO'd at the racers and didn't give an inch of road.
Security, I know its a small race but no security in transition is no bueno in my opinion. Anyone could've walked out bikes with no questions asked. Other than those two perfect race.

Congrats on the race - achieving a 6:30 on a tough course for only your second triathlon is a great accomplishment.  The swim up at Lake Mary seems to catch most people by surprise.  You do not realize until you are in the water and gasping for air how thin the air is up there.  It takes some getting used to, especially when you have a wetsuit constricting your chest already.

That whole course is a tough one, with plenty of climbs on both the bike, as well as Marshall Lake hill on the run.  The rain was a bit of a deterrent, but I think we all were in the same situation - we are that close to the finish, so we just put our heads down and power through.

It sounds like you are well on your way towards IM AZ - keep training hard, we are only 90 days away from the big one!
