I'm super excited about this but still anxiously awaiting the Oly registration to open!   I'm assuming once it does there will be an early bird deal on that as well?

Anybody know the average water temp?

Does anybody have the bike and run mapped out on map my run/ride to get an idea of the climbs?

Well, its Maine, its gonna be cool...just looked at a chart that said average water temp in Portland is 63 degrees...OOB is a few miles south, so maybe the same.

Yep I did a couple of tris this past summer right around that time (July and August) and the temp was mid to low 60's.  I did see a few people without wetsuits but VERY few.  I personally would not go without one. I did find though that once I got in and moving it wasn't uncomfortable at all.

As for elevation, my husband works in that area and I think it's fairly flat from the parts I've seen.

I didn't think early registration is over for the Oly distance yet, in fact it still hasn't even opened yet.  Does anyone know when that will be?

The bike will have roller, the run should be relatively flat.   Not sure about early registration, I know I have missed the early date for the 1/2.

I live just south of OOB in Kennebunk and I have seen the water temps go from comfortable with out a wet suit to barely tolerable in one in only a few days. I would definitely plan on wearing a wetsuit unless you’re a penguin!

AdCo, Hope you had a great race.  I did the Oly as well and really enjoyed the course.
