Pre-race routine:

Corn flakes with raisins and honey and a piece of toast for breakfast. Loaded up the car and headed out.

What would you do differently?:

My best shot at faster transitions is starting with shoes on the bike so I can run full speed through transition rather than just trot along in my bike shoes.

Only 20 seconds off my bike PR for this course. Pretty good given my minimal training miles this year. I definitely pushed it harder than I ever have before on the bike here. I guess that, plus the disc cover and aero helmet paid off.

Nothing special. My goal was 2:00 total in transitions. Hit it perfectly. Could have gone under if I had not stopped to take an extra drink before running out.

Surprisingly good, again. I was expecting closer to 30 minutes considering how hard I pushed on the bike. The unseasonably cool and dry weather certainly played a role.
