Subject: Anyone doing Prairieman this weekend?

The weather looks pretty good and it will make the dam run not so bad.  Anyone on here doing the 1/2 Iron distance or sprint?

I'm in for the half! Yes, the weather is looking good for Sunday. I hope the forecast holds up.

Picking up race packet tomorrow at RBM and plan on getting the bike check done at same time

Doing the sprint. The cooler weather should make for a nice day. Potential for some fast times with the cooler weather if the winds aren't crazy.

You should have great weather - good luck to all and be safe, just found out about a wreck at the Blackland, was pretty bad - so be careful !!!

Nice race.

Fast bike course.  My Garmin was auto pausing from time to time during the sprint.  Do the bike splits seem okay to everyone or a little fast?

My garmin had me at 22.7 mph not 23.4 in the results.

Mine was .7 mph off as well, but I didn't stop my watch didn't stop until I racked my bike.  So, I was just wondering.  I'm using GPS for speed and it's not EXACT.

Not that it really matters but I always obsess about these things.

I did the 1/2 iron distance and my garmin had the bike at 56.8 miles and showed me at 20.3 mph, and the official results had me at 20.0.  Not a big deal.  My garmin watch also showed the run at 13.28 miles and not 13.1.

Last year when I did the sprint, it showed what you guys are seeing as the course being a little short and my times were faster on the garmin than in the official results.

The race results are calculated on a distance of 16.77 miles(27k). My bike computer which is non-GPS, measured 16.15. So this agrees with what others are saying.
