Pre-race routine:

Got there early expecting to pick up my timing chip as the lady at packet pickup said it would be timed... timing company didn't show very disappointing no split times. so all the times i put in are really my best guess based on my Garmin and what the guy looking at his wrist watch said when i crossed the line.
Event warmup:

Stretched walked around.
Swim
  • 20m
  • 880 yards
  • 02m 16s / 100 yards
Comments:

I found it very hard to site the beach from the second buoy... Wish they had put up a flag or something.
What would you do differently?:

Not wind up so off course after the second buoy
Transition 1
  • 03m
Comments:

Just got a new saddle and seat post stupid me didn't think that the almost 2 inch height difference would effect how i jumped on the bike i struggled not good.
What would you do differently?:

Obviously practice getting on the bike with the new saddle
Bike
  • 1h 02m
  • 16 miles
  • 15.48 mile/hr
Comments:

Felt great now that i get full leg extension legs actually felt fresher then usual i did take it a little easier though so that may have helped
What would you do differently?:

Push a bit harder but overall felt like a great bike. Really wish i had my exact split
Transition 2
  • 02m
Comments:

I hate racks that are as low as this one. couldn't use my new ism adamo seat the way its meant to be used because my seat is so high... oh well price i pay for being 6'6"
What would you do differently?:

Nothing really unless i could get the rack raised by like 3" that would help.
Run
  • 36m
  • 4 miles
  • 09m  min/mile
Comments:

Probably my best run ever or at least the one that felt the best. i had just enough left at the end to look really good coming into the finish.
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around talked to family and friends broke down transition.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Poor swim i would say hurt me the most.

Event comments:

I actually loved this course. It is my firm belief that EVERY race no mater the distance should have a finishers medal. I don't care what it is but i want something saying yes i did this. 75$ isn't cheap i should get more than a t-shirt. Also the timing company not showing up although not the races fault just stunk. Next year please i beg you 1. put something on the beach for better sighting 2. better timing company 3. Finisher medals

Congrats on a good race.  I'll put up my race report soon.  I called the race director this week and they said the final times would be posted on their site soon so keep checking.  I hope they were at least able to break down the times based on the different age groups.  I was able to get my splits b/c i was wearing my stopwatch although as usual i was late on hitting the split button a few times.  This was my second year doing this race and I love the venue, lets just hope they have this race again.
