Total Time = 2h 37m 43s
Overall Rank = 196/750
Age Group = 20-24
Age Group Rank = 7/11
Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 4AM and had a banana hammer gel and endurolyte. Was a dark and quiet drive out to the Hamptons and like in the mighty man half i saw Orion in the sky, dam summers nearly over! Got to the site a bit late, should have woke at 3:45, but had enough time to do everything and i had another gel and endurolyte
Event warmup:

Ran 600m, biked 1.5 miles, running strides, dry land warmup, 200m swimming and stretching. overall just wanted my muscles loose since its a long race.
Swim
  • 30m 41s
  • 1500 meters
  • 02m 03s / 100 meters
Comments:

Was a washing machine! I couldn't find open water until the turn around. I got hit and swallowed a lot of water, tough effort in the swim. The last half i had a good amount of open water and was able to push it nice and good. I was happy to get out once it was finished
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Transition 1
  • 01m 31s
Comments:

uneventful except people walking! the hell its a race keep running, pushed a couple people quite literally, stop clogging the area!!! also it was a long and painful run out of transition, they needed mats in it.
What would you do differently?:

not have walkers
Bike
  • 1h 18m 11s
  • 23.8 miles
  • 18.26 mile/hr
Comments:

It was cold at first! I'm small, 5'6" 127, and it was just too chilly for me to be comfortable! I spun up the hills very nice, able to maintain a comfortable pace without pushing it too much up them and i really nails the downhills. When i got to the fields i had trouble staying in aero thanks to my bothersome hamstrings, have to fix them! overall it was a decent ride and i wish my hammies wouldn't have been such a bother >.<
What would you do differently?:

not have my hamstrings hurt
Transition 2
  • 01m 33s
Comments:

got into transition good, happy hammies weren't bothering me running this year, again ran slow thanks to painful parking lot pavement
What would you do differently?:

have a smooth surface?
Run
  • 45m 49s
  • 10 kms
  • 04m 35s  min/km
Comments:

I was so happy my hammies didn't bother me, first time at this distance!!! Now onto the run, my gut was hating me, felt terrible and was gassy, oh well. I'm happy I'm used to such conditions so i was able to ignore them and focus on my legs. Legs felt good for the first 2-3 miles then just over halfway through they start rebelling but i keep pushing the pace. For the whole 2nd half im forcing some fluids down but really trying to keep a good pace, able to have a good finish my final mile and even did some kind of sprint. Was satisfied with my run
What would you do differently?:

have less gas problems and my ankles not be so painful
Post race
Warm down:

walked around and ate a couple bagels.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

hamstrings and bad gut

Event comments:

another solid race, overall this year i came in under trained, my training has been more focused on sprint races but by my training I'm satisfied.

Nice race, great run split! Perfect day out there yesterday. You ever consider the gas cramps on the run might be from your breathing in the swim? I know that I experience the same issues on the run and I'm convinced it's from taking in too much air on the swim. Either way, well done!
