Run
Comments: Felt good overall. I had a IT band to be concerned about and knew the last 5+ miles were very hilly so I tried to game plan to pace myself a little slower in the beginning at around 9 min/mile then pick up the pace towards the end of the race. What would you do differently?: push just a little more in the beginning. Post race
Warm down: walked around, drank fluids. What limited your ability to perform faster: Concerned about IT Band. Event comments: First year for event and it was run well. Will do again! Last updated: 2011-09-15 12:00 AM

Carb loaded week prior, lots of water only a little bit of running. Concerned about IT band flaring up as it did in a half mary in may of 2011. got up that morning, had one cup of coffee, showered, small breakfast of 1/2 cup oats and some egg protein mixed in.
lots of stretching and breathing exercises
