Total Time = 1h 09m 10s
Overall Rank = 196/929
Age Group = 30-34
Age Group Rank = 28/92
Pre-race routine:

Got everything ready the night before. Woke up at 4:45, got dressed and walked over to the transition and set up. Ate a whole grain bagle about an hour before the race.
Event warmup:

Did some full body streching and tred water for about 5 minutes
Swim
  • 09m 20s
  • 547 yards
  • 01m 43s / 100 yards
What would you do differently?:

Just train a little harder to get a better time.
Transition 1
  • 03m 47s
Comments:

Was a little tired from the swim but not too bad. Took a few extra seconds to drink some water.
What would you do differently?:

Just go a little quicker
Bike
  • 28m 48s
  • 10 miles
  • 20.83 mile/hr
Comments:

Course was mostly flat, the over pass and hill wasn't bad at all. The course was a little rough in places and the railroad tracks need to be covered better.
What would you do differently?:

I should have pushed it a little harder in a harder gear but overall, I was right where I wanted to be.
Transition 2
  • 01m 35s
Comments:

T2 went pretty good!
Run
  • 25m 39s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 08m 16s  min/mile
Comments:

The run was good. Water stations at the 1/2 way mark and the 3/4 way mark. Flat and fast, a little grass section to run across which wasn't bad at all.
What would you do differently?:

It went pretty good overall, maybe could have pushed it a little harder at the end.
Post race
Warm down:

Drank some water and Gatorade, walked around to cool down a little and then had an orange and banana.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I did better than I was expecting to so nothing really limited me.

Event comments:

The only thing I would change/recommend is covering the railroad tracks better. There were a few crashes that could have been avoided if the tracks were covered better.
