I may have an opportunity to move to Rutherford, NJ, for work within the next 3 months for a permanent position.  Can someone school me on the good/bad/ugly about Rutherford?  I just started doing some research online this morning, so I don't have much information about the area but am actively looking.

Thanks.

I live in Ridgewood, about 20 min from Rutherford. Personally I would look elsewhere but thats my own opinion. I like a more suburban area. What is great about NJ is that all the towns are literally right next to each other. If your willing to commute a little to work there are some very nice areas in the surround towns, plus the bike riding is better. ;-)

Thanks. I wouldn't have to live in Rutherford; that's where the job is. Is there an area with better schools? (I realize that's a subjective question but I'm looking for opinions.)Thanks again!ETA: punctuation. Also, the iPad is stripping out paragraph breaks.

I think Rutherford is a great town!  fantastic downtown area with great shops and restaurants.  Close to NYC, train station right there.  I don't know about Schools but I know the taxes are high, but if you are not buying a home you don't have to worry about that.  Good Luck!
